High mileage vs Low mileage
It used to be that it was always better to buy a low mileage car however all the low mileage cars I have owned personally have cost me a fortune in repairs
as they always develop faults once you start using them. I owned a 30k mile Lotus Esprit which would never start and drove like a dog yet when I bought a
90k mile Esprit it started on the button and ran like a dream. I bought a 90k mile Maserati this year and people in the trade thought I was mad yet
it drove
perfectly and the chap who purchsed it has done about 5k miles and it's not missed a beat. This only works if the car has been properly
serviced and
maintained but I am a real convert for high mileage cars. I currently have a 2006 BMW 520 Diesel Touring with 143k miles, the car looks like it's hardly
been sat in and I know it's not going to go wrong as whatever was going to go wrong has already been fixed and with modern engines the car will be good
for another 100k miles. I would happily jump in it and drive to southern italy wheras a 30k mile car I probably wouldn't feel so confident!

Well this has been an intersting year for cars with everyone so unsure of the economy the lack of car sales has meant that cars have continued to fall
in price and we are now back where we were at the end of 2008 with used car prices at a record low. I just sold a 2007 Renault Grand Scenic for
£3,000 which is just silly for a 4 year old
car that was £21,500 new.
Unfortunately I feel in the new year that prices are going to increase at a rapid rate as they did in early 2009. With no one buying
brand new cars there
will be
no fresh second hand
stock coming into the market and dealers will be fighting for stock ready for the spring thus pushing the price of used cars up.
If nothing else I am sure it will be an interesting year.
Olivia is now two and a half and developing rapidly, we have mastered our ABC's and are keen to help Daddy with the car cleaning (not sure how long that will last ha ha).

Finally managed to get my Grand Scenic crash pictures on the site please click the picture below.

Wow Olivia has just turned 2 years old and I can't believe how quickly it's gone. I am sure time speeds up as you get older!
Lots of new summer stock arriving and I have just taken in the most wonderful 1996 Jaguar XJ6 with only 85,000 miles from new look out for pictures coming soon.

Unfortunately my wife has become a victim of the government's cut backs and has been made redundant. However she has for many years wanted to start her own wedding car hire business so Woodlands Wedding car hire will soon be born. If you are within 25 miles of March and planning a wedding in the future please bear her in mind.
A friend of mine has just started offering ECU remap's for most makes of cars. Athough these are normally associated with performance modifications a vehicles ECU can also be remapped to give better fuel economy. As all manufacturer's ECU's are set to run even on the worst quality fuel in places like europe where we have clean fuel a vehicle remap can offer big benefits with increased performance and more fuel economy. Please check out his website to find out more www.chipandtune.com

Well the time has come to part with my wife's beloved Nissan Murano. We have owned her since Dec 2008 (a record for us) and she is undoubtedly the best car I have ever driven, (yes better than all the Bentley's, Rolls Royces and Ferrari's). It's the ride the smoothness and the effortless performance I love the most but the fact that Nissan only sold 1000 cars a year means they are rare which means exclusivity. You are now asking "why if she is so good are you selling her?" Well I have given in to my wife's nagging and bought her a new shape Murano. I have no idea what I will ever replace this new one with as the new Murano's all have horrible smelly diesel engines! Perhaps an Infinity FX50 hmmm!
3rd February 2011
I have just taken in the most immaculte 1990 Lexus LS400 with one family owner from new and 17 Lexus service stamps in her book. She has always been garaged and has only come for sale as the owner has emigrated to Greece. I really am excited about this car as cars like this in this condition are so rare. Check out the original US tv advert just fantastic.
2nd February 2011
Wow! lot's of new interesting stock arriving but the icing on the cake has to be Alfa Romeo's fabulous 147 GTA. This rare car is fitted with the 3.2 litre V6 which produces around 250bhp and does over 150mph with widened arches and huge wheels it really is the mutt's... Check out Top Gears review here:

Happy New Year!
Lets hope 2011 is a good year and the economy gets better. Interest rates are still low which is good however fuel keeps going up which is not good for us petrol heads.
13th December
I have just started adding video to some of the cars to the site. It is early days and I am still getting used to filming, cars are not the easiest things to film. Any feedbck on this would be most welcome. Thanks
2nd December,
Olivia 19 months old today we have started talking but haven't quite got the word Ferrari or Jaguar yet or the understanding of the word No!

4th November
I have bought myself a new car!
I wanted something practical for family days out, something subtle and of course something that bends space and time when you stick your boot down!
2002 Jaguar S-Type R 4.2 litres supercharged and 400bhp

2nd November
Olivia is 18 months old today. Where does the time go, actually I am still waiting for summer what happened to that?

21st August
I sold the 1999 V reg 55k mile Jaguar XJ-R today to a lovely chap called Will from Dorset. I was really sad to see it go as Jaguar's in that condition are so rare.
Will said he has always wanted to own one and is going to really pamper the car using it for nice days out and classic car shows so at least it has gone to a good home.
Funny I sell all these cars and still can't help getting attached to them.

11th July
We have just opened our new car sales site located in March. This is called Three Way Car Sales and will be open daily for viewing. The site will mainly house our trade sale and part exchange stock.
Many thanks to Fenland District Council for inviting myself and Mark Watson of New March Car Centre to their Go Kart endurance challenge. It wasn't really competitive just a bit of fun on an afternoon, but then we would say that as team SDSC finished first, 2 1/2 laps ahead of FDC team Turner! It was really good fun and a good time was had by all.

Latest pic of Olivia she is just growing so fast!

7th May 2010
Wow April was a busy month for those who have kept up with the site!
I am taking a break as I haven't had a day off since Christmas and I need some R and R and to catch up with some jobs around the house so we will be closed from May 8th to May 15th.
I just bought a stunning 1996 Lotus Esprit V8 which will be appearing for sale soon.
Olivia was 1 year old on the 2nd May I can't believe how fast it has gone.
Here she is in her birthday present (I couldn't resist a Ferrari for her first birthday and it's radio controlled!)
2nd April 2010
Well the new site has had a few bugs but I am slowly fixing them.
Previous cusomers will notice I have gone back to selling fun cars again. I still have a couple of Scenics but after 154 Grand scenics and 69 Scenics it's time for a change.
Anyway there are lots of interesting cars coming all with sensible mileages but as always top condition so keep your eyes open.
Olivia is 11 months old today and has taken her first steps on her own with her walker doesn't time just fly.

1st January 2010
Happy New Year!!
Welcome to the New SDSC Specialist Cars website.
Please bear with me if some of the links are not working fully yet as some parts of the site are still being uploaded.
However I hope you like the style of the new site I have tried to keep it as simple and easy to use as possible.
Cheers
Stuart
Olivia has enjoyed her first Christmas, I can't believe she is 8 months old already.
